24 hours at 59°17'10.4"N, 18°06'08.7"E, altitude: 43 meters

Site specific sound work, 24 min. Time compression of field recordings during 24 hours of a specific location in July 2018, played back at the same location Feb, 2019.

During three days in July 2018, I captured sounds during every hour of the day and night in an attempt to learn about this specific place through attentive listening. While editing, creating a time compression where 24 hours were edited down to 24 minutes, I didn't seek high-fidelity sound reproductions, or the extraordinary and aesthetically striking. Rather I attended to everyday and trivial occurences. Since I slept and lived on location, my (and other human) presences were not edited out.

The resulting 24 minues were intended to be played outdoors at the same location during another season, thus installing a recorded soundscape into an existing one. This was done Feb 24, 2019 at the public event Popcorn & Film: Interfaces
